Things are wrapping up at this job. I have one week left. Today, I assigned myself a story that asks for a new junction object to be created. I haven’t had many chances to make new custom objects in this org, so it’s always fun to get my hands dirty like this.

I think of it like joining tables in SQL.

A junction makes the two tables (sObjects in Salesforce) hold hands. But the foreign key that’s common to both, in this case, would be the lookup relationship field on the junction object. Like most SF topics, Salesforce Ben has a great article on it if you’re interested.

Work felt good today. The job hunt continues. I had a random (but legitimate) recruiter connect today and ask if I wanted to be a 1099 commission based “licensed financial recruiter”. The person was nice enough, but I had to politely decline. I don’t want to start again into another field. I want to continue my restart further into tech, further into data.

So, the job hunt continues. No bites yet. About eight fairly decent applications are out there languishing in someone’s HR inbox. Patience is needed.

Pythonic delights increase. Started looking into Apache Spark today. Eyes on the prize, folks.
